Hmmm, I never told my insurance company I had modified my last car, it was lowered and had new alloy wheels. I read in a car magazine recently that not all "mods" actually put your insurance up.

Best giving them a ring and asking OR finding a young persons insurance company etc.

I found Tesco good for me but since my accident and points Norwich Union are better...!

first speedin offence normally wont increase premiums, coilovers will in any case*, BUT both may not b a good combination, best to ask your insrance a "what if......"

*unless you have modified policy

Never been caught speeding so Im not sure how it works in regards to insurance... I asume as long as you don't get any points on your licence from the speeding ticket you dont tell them anything....

that approach wouldn't work. ignorance is not an excuse regarding insurance, and if you were unlucky enough for someone to inspect the car then you'd be screwed and uninsured, pushing the prices up for everyone else

Only way to find out is to ring your insurance company and find out.

I'm not sure what the rules are regarding insurance companies coming out to inspect your car in an event of an accident....

When I had my accident, it was dealt with with just one phone call that was it.

Also, someone I know had his car written off and they said they would come and look at the car, he s**t himself as he had a much bigger engine in it, but they never came, (he'd already disposed of engine anyhow).

I thought they came to check your car if there had been fatalities in the accident....possibly wrong though...!?

Would be nice to know the rules regarding this though...
