Heater blower motor problems

Post by PoloRick »

Finally got round to finding out why my heater only works on full power,

Stripped out the switch, took it to bits and gave it a clean up. But no joy.

I checked at the blower motor with my multi meter and found out that the resistor above the motor is the cause of the problem.

Anyone know if you can get replaicements?

Where do get em from?

Number on it 1s:

18 867 959 131 1.8 Ohms
ZDVW/ST/S

thats all that is visable!

Any ideas

Got a complete unit you can have for not many pennies plus P & P if you like, worked fine when removed from car

definitley the resistor pack. had this trouble with my G40!

you can pick them up from the stealers for not too much, or you could take a gamble and get one from a breakers! the choice is yours!
