Yestoday after being at uni all day i returned to my car and found the door was open after looking at the handle they had screw drivered i looked in the back to see that my parcell shelf had been taken as well as everything else even my ALARM!! but they didnt just take the amp they took my boot install as well!!!!!! so as you can imagen i was very annoyed. and i am determin to make sure this dose not happen again could anyone tell how i could my my poor little polo a bit safer please.

I think you can get armour plates to fit around the door handles to stop the screwdriver business. Other than that you've got to make sure nothing can ever be seen from outside - stealth is the way forward.

Sorry to hear about the news.

It seems like the guys must have been confident that you were away for a long time - they took the alarm after all. They are getting more sly every day.

IT is sooo annoying, just b4 christmas aswell. i now have to wait till after christmas till i can do anything about it. i just went to the scrappy and got me some new door handles so i can de-lock the car. order some plates. and a new alarm. i took the handles off the rear doors of an old golf :D
Still it is annoying that i have to do this.

i had a look at some of those armered door plates! tried fitting them to a mk2 but unlike the golfs n jetta's, the handle is in a small resses! without a bit of modification to the plates, they wouldn't fit! has anyone got them and wot did they have to do to get it on!

cheers for that info. i might just de-handle the car. but it might be more work than it's worth. if they dont fit then i will make some. my dad is great at that stuff so he can do it :)
