nice motor. I'd definately go for a remap - good luck getting traction in first gear once it's been done though

welcome to the dark side Del!! lovely looking motor! i test drove one of them before i found my ibiza, went like stink but wasn't convinced by the handling to be honest!!

remap, exhaust and FMIC should see 200bhp easily and could push 220!!

Very nice choice Del. Berry red is such a nice colour when kept really well cleaned and waxed.

The best mod for the MKIV chassis is an aftermarket rear anti roll bar. It will make a HUGE difference to the handling. They are an easy DIY fit and I would get one of those before thinking about changing any other suspension components.

I used to have a Bora (same chassis if you are not aware), to which I added a 25mm Neuspeed rear ARB. Also put a set of OE Santa's on it (which I loved):

That ol' chestnut ! I would be extremely surprised to see 200bhp achieved from a remap etc. The only way to achieve 220bhp is with a hybrid turbo, which has been proven time & time again.

Cheers for the kind comments.

Got a few mods planned, but not until after the new year, will wait until weather improves. lol

It's damn fast, sooo torquey. In gear acceleration is really impressive, still getting used to it so remap is a while off yet. Once i get used to it i'll get that done.

I'll post a few more pics when i get them taken, interior etc.
