Ok basically i'm currently at work & i locked my car with the key fob so obviously activating the alarm, i then dropped it and now its not working, sooo does anyone know whether or not if i open the car with just the key will the alarm go off? dont fancy being stuck at work with my car alarm going all night...can someone try it ? obviously you can deactivate the alarm with one click whereas i cant!!! :shock: [/u]

Opening with the key will deactivate the alarm.

It'll only go off for about 30 seconds if it does. I know this as mine when off the other night when lightning hit very close by.

Putting the key in the ignition will deactivate the alarm too - the immobiliser chip will tell the ECU you have the key and cut it off.
