Idea I had about rear badges

Post by Bryony84 »

Was cleaning my car earlier and having a think about my rear badges. After putting the black/colour coded badge on the back, the silver 'polo' and 'gti' badges don't really look right anymore so I was thinking about options for them. Came up with...

1. Taking them off and getting a sticker made up for the back window, similar to this: http://i16.ebayimg.com/04/i/08/b7/b4/5a_1.JPG but saying 'volkswagen polo gti'

2. Painting them black to match badge (leaving the red part of the 'I' as it is.

3. Just taking them off altogether

What does everyone think?

Take off the 'POLO' lettering and colour code the 'GTI' as described in #2 8)

I personally don't like the idea of the black lettering.

I think the letters from the 25th anni gti would look great on your car. (silver as opposed to red lettering).

Ahh, that would be why I didn't get it. I'm only a mere female so I don't know these things - should have asked my brother!!

Funny you should say that, I was looking at lettering on ebay last night and say the anni gti lettering (red and silver) so think I might get one and see how that looks!

I would suggest taking all the lettering off the back.

It looks much cleaner

Does anyone know if the red anniversary badge was an OEM part or where I could get one?

I'm reluctant to take the badges away altogether!

When i was looking into getting the anniversary badge, i found that Ebay.com seemed to be the place to look. They also come with the rabbit aswell which you might like.

Actually take a look at this link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/RABBIT-HARE-GTI-BAD ... dZViewItem

Is a UK based company who's selling them!
