Not bad, would look much better if you removed the Polo and 1.2 badges :)

Must remember to do the 'Josh' badge mod soon, keep saying I will but never get round to it.

Conclusion of the front badge! Judgement MUCH wanted

Post by SiDaBa »

Well here are pictures of the front badge, it's not a nice day so the light is fairly poor (thought that's mostly my photography anyway) and it's fairly wet. My feelings are personally mixed so i'm interested to hear as much feedback as possible please.

do you paint only the front of the badge and not the inner part?

Thank you KarlM about the photos and about the comment. :D

vwpower, the chrome part of the badge is now black and as an idea i paineted the grey plastic behind it reflex silver the colour of the car.

I really like the effect on the front badge. Are the "behind bits" painted the same silver as the metalwork, or are they they original gray plastic.

I like the idea that you can catch glimpses of this colour only from certain angles. It's the sort of thing that would make someone stop and take a second look, which is a good thing, ihmo.

Deek.

Really like the two-tone front badge.

The rear? Hmm, might look better if you'd painted the whole thing matt black Polo GT/G40 styleee 8) :D

Just my 2p :)

Seen it in real life (front badge)!

Looked like a de-badged grille at first and then as I drove past, I saw the silver - looked good 8)

Just noticed....

Looked at my sisters MK4 Golf and she has the same mod! (except the badge is still chrome) She didn't have it done as she only just got the car. Is this an idea you got from another site SiDaBa?
