In a previous post I mentioned that I was having trouble with a VW dealer not accepting that there is a problem with noisy door seals on our 3 door Polo. They insisted that the doors needed further adjustment in a body shop. Needless to say this didn't fix the problem. I understand that some forum members have had their door seals replaced under warranty. I'd be very grateful if someone could give me details so that I can 'attack' the dealer and possibly get on to VW Customer Services.
Thanks in advance.

If anyone is interested, after much argument, the door seals on our Polo have now been replaced by the dealer and the latch plates adjusted. The cost was £140! (covered by warranty). All the noises have gone but the bad news is that the car is back at the dealer so they can try yet again to cure a severe oil leak. Incidentally, has anyone else had oil leak problems with the 1.4 tdi engine?

Thank you for that. The dealer originally replaced the fuel/vacuum pump on the 1.4 tdi in an attempt to cure the oil leak. They are now going to replace the camshaft cover and/or the camshaft oil seal. Interesting to note that the 3 cylinder petrol engine has this problem; I wonder if the top end design of the diesel is similar to the petrol. They are, of course, both 3 cylinder engines.
