What brakes?? Whats my upgrading options?

What brakes go straight on to the mk5 GTI's driveshafts. I'v heard G60's go on but is that a straight swap?

but what else??

Aything from audi or seat or golf???

yes G60 brakes are a direct fit for the gti. You just need the caliper carriers and 280 discs for the conversion. The gti pad is the same as the G60.

Has anyone got a guide for G60 brakes? I.e. What you need to buy, where and how to fit/what tools are needed. Would make a useful topic in the DIY guides

I believe only the 16v and gti hubs. Easy way to check, if your caliper is bolted to a carrier, which is in turn bolted to the hub, then your ok. If the caliper is bolted directly to the hub, then it wont work.

Quick tip peeps, i bought passat vr6 caliper carriers which are a hell of a lot cheaper than g60 ones. They are exactly the same though. I paid Â£26 for calipers and carriers for a vr6 delivered on ebay.

brilliant diy guide, definitely gonna give this one a go! quick question.. i swapped over my callipers on my TDI with the GTI ones with no modification, so does this mean I don't need the 16v hub?

p.s. anyone know what discs he had in the guide and how much, they look sweet as..!
