Quick Q about getting the height correct on coilovers . .
Well i've just spent 3 hours wacking the hell out of my Coilies.
Decided that Winter is upon us and i could do with coating them with Copper grease to help protect them over the next couple of months. (bloody road salt and grime) Well, firstly rear passenger side. After 1 and a half hours of wacking the C spaner with a hammer, they start to move. Decide i want the rear to be a little lower than what its at aswell, so wind it down with a lot of struggle and cover in grease.
Now its time to do the rear drivers side. Car jacked up, wheel off, but the lock nut and seal don't want to budge one bit. After an hour of wacking i give up. I need to lower it another 10mm to match the other side so fingers crossed that the shed loads of penetrating oil + WD40 will help loosen them and tomorrow the car wont be at a weird angle.
Coilovers absolutely rule, make the car look ace, handle superbly, but just make sure if you aint got stainless steel ones you look after them well! Or you'll end up with my problem.
