Last week I finally decided to get my arse into gear with the BRV mod. So I phoned up G-Werks and got some PTFE sent out, got it within a couple of days.

Next step was to get some tubing, a 'tank' and spray up my inlet plate

Image

I decided to put the tank down where the charcoal canister used to be

Image

Thank god it is being hidden down there, I would't want this ghetto-styles tank to be on show! A 1.5l water bottle with some good old black Duck Tape (bottle mounted upside down so I can empty it from under the bumper when I need to ;))

The other day I got a hold of an unstained washer bottle from a late spec, so I thought I'd replace my tatty blue one with it

Image

A little while ago I got some new replica stickers off DK for the radiator cover. But I wasn't gonna put them on my old cover. Went to VAG and ordered a new one! It came with 'Intercooler' already on it! But mine was a German spec so I just put the new sticker over the top

How the engine bay is looking just now

Next week should see a few more updates. Got my Autometer boost and oil pressure gauges coming and my electric window kit should arrive too

My gauges arrived today! I'll let the pictures do the talking

They are so nice. Autometer are the boys like!

On idle I appear to be on vacuum at 14Hg and on full whack boost at the top of the revs I appear to be putting out about 14psi

I put both pipes for both gauges through these body gromits

looking sweet mark, loving the colour coded guages 8)

are those body grommets just replacing the original ones or did you have to drill holes in the back of the bay so had to install those :?:

i really wish i put as much effort into my engine bay as you, looking soooo much better everytime you put up a new piccy, as i said before i really do like that black cover plate, never seen that before but suprising how cool it looks :D

i reckon after i get my charger done i'll be able to start affording all those little bits and bobs that i keep seeing and wanting (damn you ebay.de!!!)

Thanks man

Those body gromits are already there. The first one carries some pipe (I think its the boost pipe for the ECU reading) and the one on the bulkhead is the hole that carries the heater control wire - hence, nice easy access to the back of the dash

I got the wind deflectors from my Polo-friend in Germany

Very rare 8)

What;s happening with the car? Well, I've got the electric window kit to fit. Might be tackling that soon... then emm nothing else this year! I'm away on holiday for New Year with some mates, so I need the money! And as some of us know G40s love to take your money away.

January/February I'll be getting her lowered - 60/40. Then a few power mods and brake upgrade I hope, followed by her full respray in summer
