41.39 MPG! Best MPG yet I've got. This was driving down to Glasgow and back from Aberdeen so 275 miles, plus I waited in traffic for about an hour and a half in total. On average I did 65-70MPH

The last trip I did before I sold my Polo was to Alton Towers from Scotland, on the way down I managed 43mpg, on the way back 42mpg. Both tanks returned over 400miles (just) I was very surprised but I was sitting around 70-75mph with the odd blast.

My overall average was pretty solidly 36mpg when I had the car which wasn't bad going always ran it on Optimax though.

how do you work out your MPG? I normally find i get 250ish miles out of Â£25

I usually get 270 from Â£40

At the mo, I've got half a tank and 220 on the clock after a 170 mile round trip to dartford (good old motorway economy)

I'd usually be have about a quarter left.

I've had 54mpg from my 1.4 16v lupo. but it's stripped out, decatted and weighs bugger all (around 730kg's) I've also had around 18mpg from the same car over a full tank from revving the t**s off it.

I usually get about 320 miles from a full tank and that is the majority casual driving.....but it is pretty much all town driving. Thats the 1.4 8v

i have also got a 1.4 8v and i get 275 miles out of Â£31 quids worth.

lol My best has been 24MPG
My morst was 17MPG when I used a tank on a road trip with a VR6
