Car Jacking Warning To All Drivers....

Post by mysteryboy »

Just received this so thought I'd post it up:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ALL CAR OWNERS AND CAR DRIVERS PLEASE READ Warning!!!!

Be aware of new car-jacking scheme.

You walk across the car park, unlock your car and get inside.

Then you lock all your doors, start the engine and shift or put into reverse.

You look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking space and you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.

So, you shift the gear stick back into park or neutral, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove that paper or whatever it is that is obstructing your view.

When you reach the back of your car that is when the car-jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off!!

Your engine was running and therefore dependent on your Policy you are not probably covered by your insurance...

You would have left your purse/handbag in the car and they practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED IN LONDON AND MANCHESTER AND IS MAKING ITS WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY !!!!!!!!

Just drive away and remove the paper later! It is stuck to your window and be thankful that you have read this email.

I hope you will forward this to friends and family especially to women!

A purse contains all identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone getting your home address. They already HAVE your keys!!!

JUST BE AWARE AND TAKE CARE IT WILL PROBABLY SOON ARRIVE IN YOUR AREA !!!

My dad mentioned this to me the other day. I told my GF to watch out for it, and she said why dont you just reverse into your space? It makes sense if you think about it, in a stupid girlfriend kinda way  But on a serious note people need to be alert to this.

i'm glad you told me.

no car jackers gonna get my purse!!!

but seriously, i hope everyone takes care anytime people get in and out of their cars, seems the most likely time for people to steal them now as you have your keys in easy access.

Because people are dumb and don't feel confident reversing into an empty gap, but have no problems at all backing out into traffic.

I nearly always reverse into parking spaces. Less chance of bumping the splitter that way

i never do as by the time you have driven past it and put your car into reverse the cheeky f**k behind you has started puttlin into it and you lost your space. so i tend to go for the really small spaces that mums in 4x4s cant fit into.

Weird that, Merseyside Police Force must have fallen victim to this hoax, coz when I used to work for the Council (upto July '06) there was a Poster printed by Mersey Police on the wall with details of this 'scam'. If I still worked there i'd nick the poster and scan it to show you.
