Will Mk4 Golf Recaros fit in the GTi (front and rear seats)?

Not without modifications.

The rear seats could actually be the biggest problem, as they are too wide - to make 'em fit properly you'd need to make the back rest shorter. This would be done by removing part of the upholstery, cutting away the metal backing and then reinstalling.

The front seats are easier, but by no means a straight fit. The seat base is too wide, and the front mount of the base is completely different. You'd need to flex off a bit of the seat runners. Also, you need to fabricate a front mount to hold the seat in place. The bracket is then welded to the orginal mount on the car's floorpan, and the seat is mounted to that.

Bit of a job, but it's been done quite a few times now. Hope that helps!

I'll not bother then, there's a lad selling a full set of mk4 Recaros on http://www.no-rice.com for £350 if anybody is interested!

His name is MarkGolf!

I think he just screwed them into the centre console. Looks very nice though, quite OE-ish.

Prepare to dish out some major dough if bought new from the dealer...

Wish I hadn't seen that. It's stunning. I'm so so jealous. It's seeing something like that that gives me second thoughts about selling up. Honestly.

I'd like to do that to the 9n, but I've reached the point where It'll be allot harder to bring it back to standard :(

Would they fit in a MK3 Polo? :P
