How to change spark plugs on my polo?

Post by MaxZ »

Have taken off the air box, and i cant seem to find the spark plugs.

Are they located under the black 'electric block', which are unscrewed with 2 hex screws?

Any help/pics would be appreciated.

Thanx.

Here is the engine bay.

they just pull out, try taking the manifold heat shield off 2 bolts at the top and one at the bottom first should give you a bit more leverage.

Yes, just wiggle them around (the metal bit) with a pair of pliers; this was a tip given to me by the guy at my MOT station, who happens to have a Polo!

old engines used to have the spark plugs exposed years ago, when my dad served his time as a mechanic his boss used to stick his arm across all the spark plugs of a running engine and make the engine stop
