It would have meant removing the ECU to fit it and I didn't want the hassle of doing that.

Do you have to get the Seat ones from a dealer or can you order one from VAG parts?
I'm concerned about that part too but I'm sure i read somewhere that you can just loosen it and fit the brace and that's not the ECU. i believe that's something to do with the air con.
this control unit is for the turbo boost pressure thats what it controls all engine ecus are in the same place

I plugged it in earlier just to see how it worked and it was really easy to do as long as you get the right bits :D

Ah right, got a little worried why it tucked in that much and buldged up, thought its just meant to touch the seal.

Took it for a spin once fitted and The only difference I've noticed is a very little improvement in traction and a little more stiffer than it already is. Other than that not much difference TBH. Probably because its decked on coils too :P

looks like i best invest in one of these :D
did you say you got it direct from Seat? ie. walk into a dealership, give the part number and they order it in? i didnt think they would have sold strut braces

Mine had to be ordered, but came next day but was the wrong one so had to be re-ordered which took two days as it was new year falling then.

If you order, make sure you confirm that your after the Ibiza 6L/2002- one. Even though I gave them the right part number they ordered the wrong one, and they didn't want to exchange it  eventhough it was an error on their behalf!

I ordered mine over the phone, they called me a couple of days later to say it was in and I went and picked it up, simple :)
