How do I remove the boot trim?

Post by WaRrK »

Hi,

I've got a 9n and my alarm keeps going off, I'm assuming this is related to the fact the boot open indicator light keeps coming on (it's properly shut!) and I'm guessing that this is because the rear wiper hose is leaking water all over the electrics behind the trim...

I'm trying to remove the boot door trim - I've removed the 2 screws in the handle recesses, but can't figure how to get any further - I've forced it as hard as I dare... does anyone know how it comes off or where the clips holding it on are?

Thanks in advance!

ive done this to my Polo, its quite easy, i think there is 2 screws that hold it down plus there is clips that hold it around that you have to have a good pull at im affraid but have a look all around the trim pulling gently at the same time to find out where exacly the clips are so you know where to pull, hope this helps,
