Anyone go to Max Power last weekend?

Post by david burton »

Did anyone make it to Max Power last weekend? I was working on the Airspeed stand for a mate.

Some awesome motors there, but a distinct lack of 'dubs. What's wrong with these guys?!

Quote of the weekend: "Got any lexus lights for a ford mondeo?"

Er.... no

Yeah, I went.. because of the big thing between EA (Need for speed Underground) and Max Power we all got free tickets to go... it was interesting to watch them actually build the prize cars though :)

darn right. i think there may have been a dub in the top 100. thinking about it - there was a blue mk2 golf full of subs on one of the DJ stands. a bit old skool!

there were some awesome paint jobs there though.

you should have come to the airspeed stand and got a decent discount!

Didn't see it! One I liked was the orange peugot near the entrance - if you looked closely it had "decals" but instead of vinyl, the decal shape (flame) was painted in a slightly different orange flip paint. very subtle, must have cost a fortune!

We were right next to the fuel stand - my ears were dead at the end of the weekend

The show was _OK_ but there are better ones outdoors in the year. more of an atmosphere than max power. I certainly wouldn't have paid 20+ quid for it, but working on the stand means I gettrade priced parts for my motor

:D :D
