Angel Eyes sidelights bulbs or leds?

Post by AKs_SlickPolo »

On one of my FK angel eyes headlights, ive noticed one of the areas is dimmer than the other. Just wondering why this may be and if the angeleyes are bulbs or leds as standard?

I assume there are sealed units but am not sure - but ideally want to get the bulbs or leds before removing the bumper and the light. Thanks

Yeah cool - replaced them earlier today and its back to perfect now :D .

Has anyone had trouble of these keep on blowing?

This is my first time they've gone (had the lights on since like September last year), but one was blown and gone black and the other was on the verge in line with it

sorry to stray away from the subject in hand but i have a couple of queries about the angel eyes if you wouldnt mind answering for me.

ive been searching a couple of places to find angel eyes and the only place which appears to sell them is FK Automotive, can u advise me on a good reliable place to buy them

Also when you got your lights did you fit them yourself and if so were they simple.

Thanks for the help

Venom Motorsport and Gwent VW do them (on their website) 8) . I actually bought mine from a place in Germany, did have good customer service when I bought them, but others who recently bought them had problems buying them from them on here so won't recommend them.

I did fit them myself, fairly easy to fit, but you need to be able to remove the bumper. There is a good DIY guide written by Sidaba on here

the bulbs supplied with the angel eyes get burned over time. that's why i have fitted leds from the beginning. all fk angel eye lights i have encountered over the internet have had this issue.

yep, mine had the same issue. they got dimmer then as Logistix said, they get burned out over time!

The bulb holders pull out, but theres very little room to work in so be prepared for cuts and grazes
