Doors

Post by ticki »

Having trouble closing my doors without giving it a good slam. Also they don't have such good sound either.

Any suggestions?

i know it may sound a little patronising, so i'm sorry, but have you checked that nothing is obstructing it - the only reason i ask is because one of my doors tends to need a slam to shut and that is because some of the door seal has bent over a bit and is getting trapped in between. Hope this helps - also check the grease on your door brackets.

the mk5 doors are very heavy and do tend to need a good slamming anyways, but check to make sure the brakets are tightened right on and arent loose at all, because if they aren't then the door may be sagging slightly, resulting in out being out of line.

Have to say, mine are a little bit like this. Won't shut unless I give them a real good slam, or from the outside it always shuts right if I push from the handle rather than further up the door????

Could be also due to people leaning on your doors when there open which might cause them to be out of line.
