I've just taken out my n/s suspension!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(

My God, I'm just stunned. It wasn't even icy, just that very light frost on the road. Did it in second gear when going round a right hand corner, just pressed the throttle and it carried on into the kerb,after I pressed the brake, natural reaction and all

Blew the tyre out (massive gapping hole) alloy wheel F*^&ed, wheel sitting in the corner of the arch, I hope I haven't done the subframe as its gonna be megabucks as it is!!

The suspension hasn't colapsed though, i'm not to sure of the damage but I'm looking at Â£100's...

Even with my parts and labour discount it looks l'll be paying Â£300-Â£400 for it

I feel like such a pratt, my little baby has now been recovered and is sitting in a VAG workshop.

I don't know what to say...

Gutted

Done the same thing, but at least I can say the roundabout was covered in an inch of snow. And I only damaged one wheel, tyre is ok, as is suspension, luckily enough.

Sorry to hear of your accident!

That's 2 damaged new Polos then!

It'll be ok, might cost a bit, but you'll get it sorted.
It will be loads of my mod money stash gone to repair mine.

I'm hoping the suspension has just 'gave in' so to speak (as I believe they are meant to do to not cause further damage) but I'll be late for work tomorrow, with no way to get back home for about a week (I don't know if the manager will let me drive an Audi after tonight

) and thats if there aren't any parts on b/o

I REALLY didn't need this, not when I've already been having a s**t week, have caught a cold today as well

if you can get us a pic then i can try and see what might need replacing but t minimum (i did the same in a golf 3 but on diesel and rain) tyre, wheel, bottom arm and possibly ball joint then after its all done youll need a geometry

Lucky it's only pride thats hurt.

I came very close to doing the same thing but thankfully a bush and snow saved me. Can't you claim on insurance? I know you'll have to pay a bit extra come next years policy but it might be less than the cost of the repair job. It's worth thinking about.
