Urgent need of standard shock absorber

Hi guys, the little gti is in the garage at the mo and i'm desperate to get him out, my mechanic is having problems getting hold of a front near side shock absorber. Is there anyone near bournemouth who can help? if so how much ££?

I've got a full set of standard suspension here removed from my 'W'-plate GTi (its covered 76,000 miles) but I'm afraid I simply cannot split them. If I sell one shock, the other three will be worth next to nothing

You will need to contact some breakers - there are a couple of GTi's being broken on eBay, maybe contact the sellers?
