wiring

Post by blootak »

hello

There should be a permant feed in the radio block normally a red wire,

Check your fuses but its normally standard if the radio has been fitted.

In my old 6n there was a pair of black blocks

one for speaker connections and another for powering the radio.

On the power block there was a

solid brown wire for ground
solid red for permanant 12 volts
a stripped red for 12 volt swtich from the ignition
and a striped blue/white for the remote ariel connection.

hope this helps

thing with vw is for some unknown reason you have to put the yellow into the red wire and the yellow wire into the red wire. I have this setup, if I put red into red it doesnt save my settings, same as your problem. So basically have the yellow wire from the iso into the red bit on the car bit end, and then the red into the yellow. Its just a question of swapping them around mine lets you swap these wires with clip/slot things
