Search for Headlight Cover - Can you Help?

Post by LogIK »

Hi everyone. I have a Polo MK3 Coupe and I'm looking for those cool Quad Headlight covers but I can't find them anywhere :( . Can anyone point me in the right direction, or a to a close alternative like eyebrows or even a DIY jobby.

Thanks.

i've never seen quad headlight covers personally! i have seen a proper head light convertion which takes is the lights and grill! i personally don't like that either :? !

JE design do an eyebrow for the car which looks like this (my car):

it covers the lights slightly and one bar of the grill! comes in different types including one that raps around the indicators, and u can get em with the cut out for the badge or without (need a debadged grill for this one)!

or u could get a bad boy version which looks a bit like this:

ur choice really, i expect there are many more styles!
check out http://www.venommotorsport.com

hope this is of some help

Yeah, thanks for the links. I have found a bad boy style grille spoiler here: http://www.ra-design.co.uk/productList.asp?catID=111
which is what I was after. A bit pricey though :? However I did prefer the look of the Quad Light effect.

Will do. I'll most likely be going for the Grille Spoiler in the link I gave. I'm having a little trouble finding the colour code for my Polo though and the exact colour name (since it is only described as "Silver" and there are many types of Silver.)
Would anyone happen to know how to get an exact colour name and code, as I'm going to have to do this to colour code the Grille Spoiler once I get it.

Thanks everyone.

well as far as i remember, u can find the paint code somewhere in the boot, i think mine is somewhere under under the lock pin! have a good look round the boot for a white sticker with a few codes on them! when u find it, one of those numbers is the pain code! if ya can't find that, go to halfords and they have several books with all the paint colours available! it may take a while but u should find the right colour matching up the colour charts to ur car! give it a polish first to get a decent match! hope this helps!

Right, just had a look now and the sticker was in the place that you described - next to the boot catch pin.

So, my paint code is LB7Z. Not sure what name that matches to, but at least I can get an exact colour match now.

Thank-you for the help.
