Selling my car :(

Post by henry01 »

hi all, the time has finally come to move onto something faster. the polo just isnt enough anymore (plus my mates cars are all quicker)

what i've changed:

colour coded badgeless grill
fk front lights
mk5 rear lights
porsche teledials + adapters
16v front bumper - the numberplate recess
pioneer headunit - no idea which one but its quite new with i-pod adapter

there might be more but cant think of it.

its done about 70k maybe a little less. got a brand new cam belt and just been serviced.

its got a few dents where fuckers have opened doors into it. and one bigger dent in the drivers side sill.

here are a few pic's

If you're happy with your Polo then keep it mate, just because other peoples cars are quicker, that don't mean you don't have to join the fast club.

I fell in love with my Polo when I first got it, and that's not very quick. But it's all about the actual car, if you wanna keep it, then like I said, keep it. But if you don't wanna keep it, then sell it

Didn't mean to sound like I was ordering you around there, just tryna help :)

i agree with dav123, my polo is only a 1 litre and as slow as it is and i have looked at faster cars, people always go on about how slow my car is and i tell them y do i need a faster car? i dont race. my car gets me from a to b even if it takes longer. i like my car and how it looks so im keeping it..... i know id miss it if it went. i aint finished with it yet;)

plus smaller engines are cheaper to insure and tax and generally look after.

All you gotta do is replace the engine. That might work?

rite i've had a complete re think on the selling of the car, going to do what many people hate, but turn it into a 6n gti. so my first question would be, where would be the best place to find a wrtten off gti which i can steal the interia and engine from?? any ideas anyone

and is the engine a straight swap?
