My tape player doesn't work/ cd stero recommendations

Post by Chally_Rai »

Once I pass my test, I am going to need music.

My radio works but my tape player doesn't, im not too sure why....I was going to get a tape convertor thing and plug it into my MP3 player but I dont think I can now if the tape player doesnt actually work...

But I'd get a cd player in there anyways, I want a good one...but I dont want to spend too much money.

Alternativly I'd love one of those ones you can store MP3's on, but Im figuring they cost loads...

Any suggestions?

I noticed This on the Car Audio Direct site. I'd say it's good deal, and it does everything you want, and having the flash drive is pretty handy, too :)

There's two more similar head units in the price range of the Kenwood one.

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/kdg722- ... 8bc3a8adc9

You can go much cheaper, too. This one has an SD card socket, and a USB socket, allowing you to plug in your MP3 player too 8)

However, the quality of the above seems to be rather poopy.

Hope this helps :)

Whoops, sorry. I had a mongy moment there

I was going on about how the quality of This isn't as good as the Kenwood or the Sony head units.

Good luck with fitting your new head unit, by the way :)

this is probably obvious...but why? Just cuz the others have more stuff or will the quality of sound vary?

To be honest, I'm currently judging it on the aesthetics of the thing, and that I'm being a bit of a brand whore. I don't think you'd notice a difference in the quality of sound through the standard speakers.

I've checked out some reviews of the Head Unit on ebuyer, and the general consensus is that it is a decent product, which has surprised me.

It has everything you would want from a head unit.

You can get it here for £50 8)

Hey Rach, glad to hear you got it sorted 8)

Having music in the car is extremely important to me. It was so awesome this afternoon, when the RHCP version of 'Love Rollercoaster' came on the radio, and I had the sunroof open, too :D

I don't know why I said that
