Wheel Bearing?

I have noticed over the past few weeks now that when im driving at speeds in the range of 60-65mph i start hearing a 'whining' noise which seems to be comming from the drivers side front wheel as when i accelerate or deccelerate out of the speed range the noise stops. You can hear the noise inside the vehicle slightly - as if its the engine or somethin - im lost? I have been advised that its most probably is a wheel bearing thats worn inside one of the wheels, has anybody else suffered from the same noise or has anybody else had wheel bearing replacement on their GTi, if so, how much did it cost from the dealership?

Gonna have to book it in to get it sorted - only you have to go through hell and back to get car problems sorted from VW dealerships these days!

Either wheel bearing or gearbox.

I used to have wheel bearings changed all the time on my last polo.
