has anybody taken the gti badge off there gti grill am trying to do so but am struggling!
is it literally a matter of perseverance or is there a specific technique to get it off??

Take the grille off, and literally it just unclips from the other side.
It's a pain to do, and you'll probably stab yourself on the back of the grille a few times, but all you need to do is use a flat-head screwdriver to work one partially out then the other.
Apart from that there isn't really a big technique to doing it, just keep trying!

If you can get one of the end ones part of the way through, that's a good way to start. It's a real pain in the arse I know! i can get the two small end ones out but the 3 at the other end are seriously annoying me!!!
