Haha I have just been out in the rain doing the same thing, and came on to post the same thread, judging by the replacement in my hands it has clips, i assume you need to take the grill off?

Take the grille off, and literally it just unclips from the other side.

It's a pain to do, and you'll probably stab yourself on the back of the grille a few times, but all you need to do is use a flat-head screwdriver to work one partially out then the other.

Apart from that there isn't really a big technique to doing it, just keep trying!

Grille needs to be out yeah, start off by getting the clips at the side out then go from there.

It's not very easy, is fiddly and does hurt your fingers a bit, but once you've done it it's easy :D

No. Don't just pull it.

Use a flat head screwdriver to gently lever the four clips up. You don't need much force to do it. The clips should push towards you (ie. to the front of the car). 30 second job.

just undo the clips one by one with a flathead screwdriver it's dead easy, don't just yank the grill though as there's three clips on the bottom aswell but these pull out just as easy.

If you can get one of the end ones part of the way through, that's a good way to start. It's a real pain in the arse I know! I've worn like work gloves in the past to stop myself getting stabbed by various bits of grille!

It's just a case of trying to hold one side out as you get the other side out.

It is fiddly but it gets easier.
