This is fairly confusing. So they cant fo you if your going 77 incase your speedo is wrong? is that why they have the 10% thing?

So I take it no one is really sure of the limit then? And here i was getting all embarrsed that i didnt know

edit: fo you = do you.

For GPS Speed camera detector i can recommend the Talex Lite that Tesco do. I think the unit is about £80 and i paid £12 for 1 years subscription. (that was on an offer, i think the subscription may have gone up now)

I update mine every week and i have only ever come across one speed camera that it didn't alert me to.

60 - single carriageway
70 - dual & motorways

and the 10% rule does exist, trust me chally if you had been flashed you wouldnt just know it, so would the car 2 miles away in front

I'm not saying they can't do you as they might...but rule of thumb is 10% +2.

Just be careful as if you get 6 points in the first two years of driving you will lose your license and have to re-sit your exam and test!

I'm pretty sure for it to be classed a dual carriageway (ie 70mph) it needs to have a central reservation, otherwise its classed as a single carriageway (60mph), but its just got an extra lane on one side

Also the 10% rule with cameras doesnt exist. You will find most councils generally put 10% leaway on the ones they control to make sure, but some don't. Also ones that are controlled by the highways agency (mostly motorways, but sometimes key points on major roads) generally don't have any leaway. I know someone at work that got a ticket for doing 31 in a 30  !

But if your speedo was reading 65 then you have probably got nothing to worry about. Something as silly as your tyre pressure can change the reading on your speedo. My car is about 3.5 - 4mph out at 80mph (according to my Road Angel), but I've driven 1.2 MK7 Polo I got as courtesy car and that was 9mph out at 80!!!! Car manufactures will always put it on the good side though, so you aren't going faster that you think

i think its 10% + 1 for you to be pulled over, but i wouldn't've though that a camera would have that? just drive carefully

I'm working today :D

Well, for my dad, doing some web stuff for him

I'm having fun, I helped strip a Memory Red 1.3 6N for its wings and bonnet, and blagged a tailgate and the washer hose I need for my car :D
