I went to lock my car as normal tonight and somehow got the key stuck!
i havent a clue how this has happened but i cant seem to get the key to go vertical so i can remove it. No matter how hard i force it!
At first, i was able to lock the car using the passenger door but after fannying on, locking and unlocking in a desperate attempt to free the key, the drivers door wont lock at all!
If anyone has had this problem before and/or could shed any light on what might have happened it would be much appreciated because my car is currently sitting outside with the key in the drivers door!
This could only happen to me............

I'm stumped, not sure, have you tried some WD40? You can get the lock and handle out if you open the door, there is a rubber grommit that is at the same level as the handle on the inside of the door, might be just a screw actually...when I mean the inside I mean on the side of the door that has the lock mechanism, undo this screw, not fully otherwise you may lose the screw, loosen it slowly, you will start to feel the door handle loosen, one there is enough travel the handle should be able to come away from the door, along with this will be the locking mechanism, not sure if this will really help as the lock mechanism is sealed...
