Alternative to VAG

Post by shantybeater »

Hi peeps,

I'm in desperate need of a red passenger seatbelt as mine has stopped re-tracting, i'd wait for VAG to start replying but apparently if I get pulled over it can mean 3 points on the license...which i'm funnily enough not up for, VW are charging a painful £150 exc. VAT. so the idea of paying 200 quid for a seatbelt isnt happening,

Anyone know of a good source for VW parts without the price tag?

Yup, scrap yard or breakers yard would have to be your best bet.

Even if it's just to get a normal Mk5 seatbelt until you find a red one.

MG Metro? ;)

2001-2002 SEAT Ibiza Cupra R's come with red seat belts, have you tried that option? Or can GSF or Euro Car Parts not get them?

You can buy them from vagparts, I asked them for a quote for the full set a month or so back, but I can't remember how much it was now!
