My Polo GTi Turbo - New Wheels

Post by Jeff GTi »

well i got my wheels 2 days ago now and once again chosen some trusty bridgestone potenza re050a tyres as iv had them before and rate nothing better personally,

They are a very good all round gripping tyre thats really predictable too, i chosen to get 215 x 40 x 17 for a little more protection for the wheels which fitted on a treat

so yesterday i got them on, washed the car and it threw it down with rain, so did not get a chance for some photos, once again today i was up early, sky was gloriously clear, washed and polished the car and once again, it threw it down just as i finished, got to love british weather eh

anyway heres a couple of photos, the wheels are oem audi tt comps the ones with the silver inserts and fully diamond turned faces

opinions welcomed as always

looks good jeff! good choice that you went for 215 tyres, think 205s would have been a lil streched.

This looks awesome, very nice choice of rims. And one of the best looking 9n3's I've seen.

I see you got a remapped 1.8T how fast is it, can u keep it with for example a new 530d ?

What xenons do you have btw ? (kelvin) also an aftermarket H.I.D. conversion kit ?

Have you got msn ?

hi there, the car is currently running at 214 bhp at the fly (199 bhp at the wheels) with 240 odd ft/lb torque and pulled a 0-60 in 5.45 seconds at pod, so yes, will be fine with the 530d's mate

the xenons i have are the "ultimate conversion from the following site and are 5000 k colour temp

www.hids4u.co.uk

and yes i do have msn, but do not use it sorry

Damn that's pretty fast!

I hope I will at least be able to keep up or be faster than the standard Polo GTI after my remap and mods have been done.

Mine are 6000K btw, loving it, soo much brighter than the original headlights were... Though I wish there will be a lens unit available for it sometime, would you know antyhing about this yet or ?

Too bad you don't have MSN but no problem.

Thanks for the answers 8)

thanks again everyone for the nice comments,

and wouter yeah its pretty nippy haha,

i agree, i do hope they release a projector style headlight like on the golf gti's with xenons, would look even better, but i have heard or found nothing im affraid to say

got to love xenons, pure white light and so so much of it too

let me know how you get on with the map and all, good luck

thanks again
