the backrest cable is starting to stretch on the tilt part of my seat
any tips on how to get the cover off to repair it?
btw, if you're breaking a polo and have a good cable from a tatty seat, let me know

its easy mate
unclip the black side hinge covers and remove the C clip that attaches the back rest...remove the back rest and take it indoors or in the shed
along the base of the back rest you will see where the cover is held on, theres about 4 tiny metal spikes that secure the cover, prise them up with pliers or a small screwdriver
now pull the cover over the spikes...and gently roll the cover up, you only need to move it a little way then you can see the cable if you look with a torch
gsf sell the cables for 3.75
fit the cable and fit the cover back over the spike...then bash the spikes down so they dont stab you
