U are correct, I saw this GTI during my visit in Berlin.... Quite frankly, I did not see much of these in Germany!! I think it was the first time that I saw this 6N GTI in Berlin!

Looks exactly the same as my 1.4 16v, but with a GTI badge and only 3 doors! If it is a gti though.........nice find!!

Other remark: the GTI sign looks like the one that is on the current (9n3) GTI..
According to me he just bought the logo's of the current one and attached them

they did make a gti ........only 200 were made and not available anywhere other than germany.....although i do agree the badges look very similar to the mk4 golf anniversary badges but the gti did come with bbs so who knows

There was more than 200 of them made, 3000 if I remember rightly. And looked like this:
15" BBS RXII's, and GTi badges in an older style font.

Seen a couple of these being broken before and this one looks genuine.
it doesnt look modded at all thats why i think its a real gti...
no one can really know unless they pop the bonnet or german version of hpi check
