Front Speaker OEM Upgrade

Have had a little look around and am trying to find more info about the official VW front speaker upgrade kit. Has anyone got it, and what difference does it make?

I am sure this has been covered before but i have not been able to find it in my searches.

Think they are just slightly more uprated.

Oh and the cones are yellow.

I had the rear upgrade speakers in my old polo but never had originals to be able to compare in the rear. Did me perfectly well

To be honest the main change will really come from changing the head unit usually.

you'l get ripped off with an 'official' upgrade. you're much better off buying some aftermarket speakers. they can link into the vw headunit fine, but to get the full potential of them, they should be ran off an aftermarket headunit or an aplifier

Hehe a mate of mine tried to upgrade his speakers, only to find they were riveted to the door frame

i have vw upgrades they sound alot better
you get the speaker and tweeter in the kit

if i got an mfd and the speaker upgrade would it stop the horrid vibratey bass crashiong noise when you play loud music?

A speaker upgrade should - the horrible noise is due to the cone moving too much in the speaker, so it vibrates loudly making a horrid popping/crackling noise.

any advice on good (and not too expensive) replacements? preferably without too much wiring/other work.

Alpine make a nice set - I think in all polos you have to have component speaker systems due to the tweeters nd all. Also, JBL make a nice set - but from experience Alpine or pioneer make some of the best at an affordable price tag.
