newbie just got mk3 coupe !

Post by ad4m »

hey guys, just got my mk3 coupe few days ago, its in mint condition, its my first car, and it is completely stock, its gonna be a slow build but planning to drop it, and fit 14"s, want to keep it simple, also thinking of light tiniting of the windows and fitting gt fogs, and fitting clear indticators, want some corrado seats, and fitting some ice. after ive got that sorted ill start on the engine. using this forum as a bible, any opionions, sources for parts, recomendations and ideas welcome

here are some pics

Hey, welcome.

That does look immaculate I must say! Must have been well looked after.

Your plans for it sound good as well. Only other thing I would suggest is possibly changing the steering wheel for a 3-spoke GT one.

Hi matey. Polo looks amazingly clean!! 8)

I am indeed breaking a GT at the moment, and have quite a few bits for reasonable prices that would get you off to a good start.

My choice would be:

Clear Front Indicators - £25ish on ebay
Black Front Grille Badge - I have for sale
Black Rear Badges - I have for sale
White Doorhandle Inserts - Couple of coats of spraypaint
Tint Rear Lights All Red - Llocal bodyshop/DIY with tinting spray
Gt Steering Wheel - I have for sale

Most expensive thing is a Gt steering wheel which costs about £20. All the others are quite cheap and simple to buy/do but stand out to anyone who knows veedubs.

Feel free to pm me with any bits your after and i'll give you a price if i have them for sale. As your fairly local i don't mind giving you a hand fitting anything too!
