Looking for something that will improve throttle response and maybe add a few extra bhp. Which one should i go for? Do you guys have one?
Anyone selling one, pm me or reply to this thread
which air filter/induction kit
The standard airbox is not restrictive so fitting an induction kit will not give any benifit other than nosie.
Best sounding induction kit for a GTI is a Pipercross imo, then Id say BMC.
BMC would be better for use in summer, but during the colder months I would not think they would be anything in them.
Neither would add BHP.

The BMC is a nice filter, luckily my car had one on when I got it.
I love it to bits, I've had other 'cone' stlye K&N type filters in the past on other cars, and normally they all make a hissing (induction) sound.
Because the BMC CDA is contained inside a carbon can, it doesn't make that hissing noise, it's more like a deep burble that you'd get from some kind of turbo at idle. It's only heard until about 3500RPM, but it's worth it
Hard to describe, but you'll become addicted to tickling a BMC

BMC sounds good but gives no noticeable change in performance. If anything it will give a decrease in performance if you used the standard piping supplied with the kit.
As a sidenote I'm averaging around 33MPG on normal runs with my new cold air feed when before it was around 32.5MPG. Not a big difference but a difference anyhoo
