Deep lip for original alloys?

Anyone know if i can get make my originla bbs wheels wider by attatching the front bit onto a deeper lip?

ok so does that mean i have to go with the BBS split rim? How much am i loooking to pay for them? A mate of mine had them on his Golf and he paid about a grand, i dont wanna pay that much. Possibly i should go for a different set of rims?

What BBS split rims are you referring to?

What BBS split rims are you referring to?

I assume he means the original GTI BBS wheels!

Dont really see the point in split rims unless you can alter them.
