£85 is a bargain for a full day! Full days at Croft near me are double that much.
Not sure whether I'd want to trackday my GTi or not. Be good to find the limits of it's handling, but I think it might feel underwhelming at Croft which tends to be a 'power' circuit.
Plus there's the wear on brakes and tyres, along with the potential cost of finding the handling limits and then finding the Armco barrier.
That's what puts me off about going over to the Nürburgring.
So instead of me taking my car round there, I'm hopefully going over there in a few months to go round in the ring taxi (new BMW M5, hopefully driven by Sabine who was on Top Gear )[/u]

Ditto! I don't wanna put my car in the armco either but i am probably just being over cautious!!
Lucky you - i'd love to go round the ring with Sabine!
Nice pictures, I assume you are on standard suspension by the amount of travel visible in the above picture?
I bet you had a lot of fun anyway, that is what trackdays are all about.
Yup standard suspension will be lowered in the next few weeks but thats only if I don't buy the Ibiza Cupra I'v been chasing
I was worried about hitting the armco but that was only untill I got there and realised I'd really have to get it wrong if I was going to hit it as there was just about no tyre walls and the few that were there were miles away!! lol
