I'm also working on the black and chrome interior ( just got the chrome handles, and now i'm going to light them up like the audi's), but i'm converting the interior lights to red.

What are you going to do with the old air vents? I need one, if you are going to get rid of them!
Got me 7 in total, used 1 for myself, and sold 6 of them. Which means I still have a spare one lying around here
7 total, sold 6, used 1 for yourself. Doesn't that mean they are all gone?!

With those leather seats the car will be mint!
Thanx for the compliments! I also had the idea of placing red LED-lights behind the doorhandles
But I made a mistake with the blue foils, I bought 8 in total, so yes, I do have 1 left unused.

A mate of mine from the Polo Club Holland already did it  I'm just following his example  But I still have to find out myself to be 100% sure about it. But lookin' at the price I bought the mk5 coilovers for, it's still forth refurbing them just for the trade 8) (yes, I'm a cheap Dutch bastard that always tries to get the price down  )

I bought a couple of these from a German company (funny thing was they were located in Wolfsburg  , so you could call it a WOB-mod-item  ) Got me 7 in total, used 1 for myself, and sold 6 of them. Which means I still have a spare one lying around here

I promissed more regular up-dates, so here it is

Started cleaning and refurbing my new NK FK Highsport coilovers:

Before:

After:
Image

And this is what broke:
Image

Previous owner didn't lock the coils firmly, so the top ones broke when I tried to get it loose. No sweet, I rang up FK today, and ordered some new parts for the coilovers 8) a good testing of my knowledge of the German language

Also finished my track-wideners (or how-ever you call them in English  )

Image

got rid of all the corrosion/rust and sprayed them black with special lacker against rust

This afternoon I bought this lil' fellow:
Image

3 metres of black cloth specially made to cover the roof of the interior. Got it from a recommanded car-interior specialist, may be a bit more expensive, but now I'm sure I've got the right stuff to work with

This has got to be covered with the blackstuff  :
Image

Also got around to lacker my new refurb vented brake callipers red:
Image

And ordered some other brake-parts last week:
-a set of brand new vented and drilled Zimmermann discs
-a set of EBC Greenstuff blocks

that's sure to get the Polo stopping

And took a pic couple of nights ago, kinda like it actually :D

I'll keep you'll posted!

Went to collect some stuff I ordered last week, nice 50 minute drive from a fricken snowblizzard

But the local Football clubs parking lot was empty and covered with snow, so on the way back . . .

But here's the loot:

Image

-aluminum rore for my airfilter, put on the silicon hoses I bought in Essen on the tips, have to shorten it to fit it in though
-alu flexible hose for airfilter, my old one ripped cause I monted it to tight
-new jack
-vinylspray, to spray my doorrubbers black like the ceiling and a- b- and c-pillars will be made
-putty spray (is that the correct british name? It's filler to smoothen things out before spraying it in colour)
-quick-release steering hub
-c-style stabilizer

here a close up of the c-style stabilizer
Image

this has to be monted between the attachments of the belts on the backseats, between the c-pillars above the shelf. Should stabilise the car a bit more during curves,'probably won't make much of a difference, but it's there for the looks too

thanx m8, pics of the whole car will probable have to wait for a while, there's a tiny chance that the Polo will get another nice coating of paint on it, but it's not 100% sure right now, still have to sort some details out (mostly financial) but if it all works out, it will become a different colour

But come back from my holiday yesterdaynight, and started working on the Polo today already, just couldn't sit still

I bought a roll of special car-cloth to cover the inside-roof and those pillars in the car (A-, B-, and C-pillars) and finished covered the pillars today:

Image

it will all become completely black 8)

also picked up a rear stabiliser for in the trunk:

Image

And got some of the parts I needed for my "new" FK Highsport coilovers I'm refurbing to fit under the Polo :D

Well, haven't sitten round lately, done some good work on the mk4 recent days/weaks:

Took off my GTI's to start the refurbing, centre's will be coated black with polished rims:

Image

Finally got my last parts to up-grade my brakes:

Zimmermann Drilled and Vented discs:
Image

And EBC Greenstuff blocks:
Image

Also finished my centre console today:

here's the "set-up" (old picture):

Image

Chromed ventilationgrilles, colour coded console and ventilation cover. Chrome Wolfsburg Edition ventilation buttons:

here's what the red paper in the lower part of the console was for, used it to make a holder for my performance meters:

Image

Image

Image

Tilted it back a bit to make it easier to look at them while driving, looks nice ey? :D

And this I did today, did the colour coding:
Image

Also made my shelf go from this:
Image

To this:
Image

Now I only need to spray the carriers black for the total black overview in the car.

Speaking of the overall black overview int he car

Image

Installed my black elather Golf VR6 interior, sits like PORN!! 8)

Also installed another "gadget"

look for the difference between next two pictures ;)

Image

Image

It's a quick release snap-off steering hub, straight from the rallye-sport 8)
works great and looks pretty cool at meetings when you just take off your steeringwheel

thanx m8! But there's still much in my head in the form of ideas that will have to come out of my hands soon in the form of mod's on the mk4 ;)

Here's some recent things I did:

-installed a new airfilter, with the silicon hoses and small piece of piping:
Image

-Also got rid of my old VW1 braking system on the front axle:
Image

-And installed my VW2 braking system, with the Zimmermann discs and the EBC Greenstuff blocks:
Image

This set brakes like a godd*amn maniac! Gotta watch out I don't loose my teeth on my steering wheel while braking

-Also put on the 50mm wheelspacers on the front axle:
Image

-And the 60mm ones on the rear:
Image

This really improved the road-handling  and that with my stealies, can't wait to put back my BBS GTI's when there done 8)
Ordered new tyres for the GTI's too, Nankang NS2's in the size 185-45-15

-Installed my 8000K Xenon in the headlights, on the right the Xenon, left original bulbs:
Image

-And at night:
Image

-And bought myself a new cam-cover, polished this baby yesterday:
Image

-Blings like m*f****r now 8) :
Image

Now my bird can do her make-up while my hood is open, just bend over a bit babe, don't mind me, I'm just standing behind you
