To be honest, I bought the car for £350 and Ive only spent 50 on it so far, and the wheels were £300 so thats £650 and I think I told them it was worth £600 anyway....they didnt ask what wheels i had...
You should bother - I need to tell mine that my new wheels are on despite them being worth less than my BBS wheels. It because if you have anything non-standard on your car and you crash, they will refuse to pay out anything because you had mods.
bryony tell me how much extra it costs when you find out, if its not too much i will do it otherwise it will be a f1 style pitstop to get my standards back on before the police turn up haha
I can't see it being too much - otherwise I'll have to do the same. In theory the new ones are worth less than the BBS would be so it shouldn't cost any more.
I just called my insurance company who completely confused me. They said that to add different alloys would add £28 to my policy - which is good.
But then they said they don't pay for mods, so if my car was written off/stolen etc. They would pay for them to be replaced with original alloys... which cost more... which I thought that was quite random, not that I'm complaining.
Just barter with them, insurance companys are one of the best.
Just start by saying to them that its not a very good price and major competitors have done it for free in the past as a gesture of good will. etc etc. works every time!
Hang on un momento. I think i may only have third party (and maybe fire and theft but lets be honest here whats the likely hood of that? Lum is hardly a get away car)
so surely if my car isnt covered anyways it shouldnt cost more?
