Random - Chrome Light Switches & Sockets

Post by chrisash32 »

Evening all,

Sorry, i know this is very off topic for the forum, and you can tel me to ask elsewhere if you want, lol.

As you may or may not know, i am currently decorating Stacey's house..
Now i have done all the painting etc etc, now i am just left to change all the old boring white light switches and plug sockets for chrome style ones.

So over the weekend i went down to B&Q only to find a single light switch was close to £10!!!! and a double plug socket was even more!!

So just for me to replace all the visible ones in the front and rear rooms downstairs it would of cost near £100!!

Surely there are cheaper places to get this stuff from?

The question is..... Where????

Anyone know??

Thanks

Chris

Yep they are not cheap! I brought an S/S electronic dimmer for my room with was £18!

I'd never bother doing the rest of my house as most are hidden behind things.

I personally buy from http://www.qvsdirect.co.uk or http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk

Both have trade counters nationwide which I use rather than online, but I think it's free delivery on any order over £40.

I just did all the Kitchen switches in metal graphite looks fantastic :D

Or try your local electrical wholesalers they usually have bulk pricing ie. cheaper for 5+ 10+switches etc.

I'd only use high street DIY stores to get an idea of the look I wanted and then puchase from the above.
