Just wondering if when any one else in there 6n brakelights come on even when theres no key in the ignition?

i jus happend to press the brake when getting out of my car before and the brake light came on altho i had no key in the ignition, non of my dads cars do this is it normal?

light wires

ive just bought new chrome lights but when i turn the indicator on about 3 lights flash at the same time :? :? i kno i need to re wire them but i dnt know what wires are for which light (the standard polo light circuit), not in the acutal lights but what the lights have to connect to. its hard to understand

im in desperate need of help plzzzzzzzz :D

erm i could check in the morning for you
but if three are coing out sounds like something is seriously wrong with the wiring!

do you think theres something wrong with the car wiring or the lights wiring????? because the standard lights were fine.

if you have been fiddling mite jst be crossed connections
if not then lights are major thing to check

looks like im guna have to re wire the lights then to match the wires in the car then lol but i just need to know which wires are which in the car

Sounds just like a bad earth to me...

how do i sort tha out then? is it bad earth from the car or the lights?

Its usually from the lights to the car.

Check the black (i think its black) earth wire has a solid connection to the Light cluster and that the cable is not damaged etc

i found out when fitted my LED lights that I cross wired them making it flash like a christmas tree. Problem was I attached them by coloour cordination and checking each light as I went along. Found out the colours don't weren't ment to match cos as standard theres one fog and one reverse. Needed to bridge them across to opposite light to get the wirring right
