With the Polo FUN, Volkswagen will extend the range of its successful compact car to include a highly attractive, lifestyle-oriented model that sets new trends in the segment. The exceptional design of the Polo FUN sends out a clear message: it conveys not only a positive attitude towards life, but also emphasises the sporty and active lifestyle of its owner.
The new exterior colour "Limette" best accentuates the progressive styling of the Polo FUN, whereby the entire lower contour of the vehicle is in a contrasting dark matt colour. The striking bumpers with integrated front fog lights have been completely redesigned. Together with the suspension lift of approx. 20 millimetres, they make the Polo FUN look like an offroader. The dynamic impression is further emphasised by the high-quality 17-inch alloy wheels with sporty low profile tyres in size 215/40 ZR 17. A further striking detail is the versatile, silver-coloured roof rail which, in combination with the colour-coded door mirror housings, rounds off the distinctive overall impression of the vehicle.
The interior of the new Polo model also gives a feeling of joie de vivre: starting with the fresh interior equipment in a choice of Space Limette or Space Grey, the front sports seats, the 4-spoke steering wheel bound in perforated leather and the gear knob with the FUN logo through to the dash panel insert with chrome bezels and aluminium-style foot controls. Standard equipment also includes the "beta" radio system, central locking with radio remote control and electric windows at the front and rear.
The Polo FUN is available with seven different engine types. The two 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engines with 40 kW / 55 hp and 47 kW / 64 hp make for competitively priced entry-level engines. Next up are the 1.4-litre four-cylinder engines with 55 kW / 75 hp, 74 kW / 100 hp and the 63 kW / 86 hp petrol direct injection engine (FSI). Needless to say, the Polo FUN is also available with diesel engines. Firstly, with a 1.4-litre 3-cylinder TDI (55 kW / 75 hp) and, secondly, with a 74 kW / 100 hp 1.9-litre TDI unit.
