Stupid French Cars!!
Evening all!
Apart from my already large hate for French cars, it got worse this evening!!
My dad has the Polo tonight at work and i have his Renault Grand Scenic as i need to pick something up from pIkea.
Traveling down the M60 at a modest speed in the outside lane, the stupid thing decides to cut out on me!! so i drift over to the hard shoulder (the push to start things don't work if the car is moving).
As i took the key card out it flashed up electrical fault on the screen.
So i tried the card and start again, no luck. 100% dead.
I get out of the car, lock it and walk up the embankment.
Then i realise i had left my phone in the car, so i walk back down, open up, as i open the door the dash springs to life again.
So i tried the card n start and off it fires up!!
So off i go back on my travels!
Only for it to do it again about 5 miles down the road.
Tried card in card out etc etc, nothing.
I then lock the car, unlock it again, open and close the door and the it springs to life again.
Not a problem all the way home after that!
WTF is going on? Stupid French cars! Its turning into how mine used to be!
Also, when i was going home, a really really really nice A3 passed me.
When i was looking for a new car, i took out the 2.0 TDi (170pd) and it was amazing!! i sooo nearly bought it, but for some reason i got the Polo instead... It was between the two....
Just made me think, some times i do wish i had got the A3, but if i had of got that i would never have met all you gr8 guys!
So i suppose its a good thing really!
Anyway, my rant is over!!
L8rs!
Chris

I'll get some pics of the dash tomorrow.alexperkins wrote:haha elephants arse effect thats a cracker. Grey and wrinkled i presume?
It's also got the rear door handles built into the C-pillar Alfa 156 style. Not entirely sure what the point is on what's basically a mini-estate car. Guess on a black one it would look like a hearse

Re: Stupid French Cars!!
Just a slight difference in price I would have thought. I don't know how you could even compare the two cars !chrisash32 wrote:a really nice A3 passed me.

Re: Stupid French Cars!!
It was price that did it for me, the A3 was about £5000 more than the polo and even higher on the insurance.mk4 glx 1.6 wrote:Just a slight difference in price I would have thought. I don't know how you could even compare the two cars !chrisash32 wrote:a really nice A3 passed me.
