Fantastic job there - its so damned clean. Come and give mine that much attention :P

I've spent 6 hours cleaning it before, but have never tried this pre wash etcetc stuff :P

Best thing ive found for alloy wheels is just industrial Aluminium Cleaner - works a treat. Smells foul but the results are astounding :D

Using a clay bar and some lubricant should remove the brake dust. If your looking for a wheel cleaner to do the job I'd probably recommend Meguiars Wheel Brightner (though it does strip wax so you couldn't use it all the time if you wanted to protect your wheels)

Best beginner kit would be a Meguiars kit. Some times Halfrauds sell them. Here's one for £10 online:

Guide on how to use it:

If you were wanting to go down a more expensive route, get a 5l bottle of Meguiars Last Touch (£15) and the spray bottle to go with it (£3) - it dilutes 1:1 and works out cheaper than small bottles you can buy. And for the clay I'd recommend Pinnacle Poly Clay (which I used) or Lehm Clay (around about £20)
