Which alloys to buy? SE? 16v?

Post by tomraffe »

I'm looking for some fairly standard but nice looking alloys for my Mk4. 15" ideally, and probably genuine VW. What VW Alloys have been produced that would fit the 4 stud Mk4? What ones were on the SE? 16V? Any pictures would be appreciated as Google has let me down :(

I think the ones off the MK5 may be what I'm looking for if they would fit?

If your looking to keep your cars value up and modify it making it look classy the you can have a look at these i'm tryn get rid of. Their standard and have been refurbished just before I bought them with the car but i'v already put my own set on already so these are laying around. They came as standard on I think mk2/3 golf gti's and are called 'Le Castelle's'. You can change the emblem to any you wish (porsche 1s most modifiers do)

Their standard polo fitment and i'm looking for around £150. They'l be a good investment and you'l be pretty  They look gorgeous, just have a look at these pics

Are these the GTI Lupo alloys you speak of?

I like the MK5 GTI BBS ones and I'm waiting for some of those to come up 2nd hand. How much should I expect to pay?

I like the Lupo ones as well so if I cant get some MK5 GTIs then its the Lupo.

Here is my Polo with a badly copied and pasted set of Alloys on. Think I should get them? Slightly different to the MK5 GTI ones.

Maybe you have to be prepared to pay about £250 to 350 for a set of 15 6N2 BBS GTI wheels second hand but in totally mint condition which could be refurbished. I think the Lupo GTI ones are quite nice, I was hoping to get them before I got myself these set of 15 BBS Solitute for the 16v. If you are not in the rush, perhaps you can wait until the GTI International vw Show. I got my alloys from there 2 years ago, and bought it for a really good price!!!

yep these are what i have. personaly think they are very nice. GTI BBS's are nice but as its been said they are quite pricey.

Altho i paid near 200 for mine (lupo gti alloys) but that was mint with decent tyres

They look well cool! Are they 6x15"? Make a change from boring spokes, plus they hide the weedy Polo brakes too!
