9N GT Bonnet Bra Help

Bought a bonnet bra for my gt need some help with how they fit and secure. i assume it just slides over the front of the bonnet but i tried that and now my bonnet wont close properly.

It will latch but not close fully meaning anyone could get into my bonnet.

Really want the bra on for the Gti spring fest tommorow so any help would be great.
