And the colour, well I prefered to take a VAG colour, to stick with that OEM look, but I got to admit the TOyota Aubergine Red does look porn, but I think it will give me the feeling I'm "cheating" on VW
My 6N, Dutch style of course

Thanks for the comments, I myself also did liked the S4-look frontbumper more then the Lumma one, simply because it's got that OEM VAG look with it, same kind of idea as using mk 5 roof- and sidestrips

Yesterday I took the mk4 up to the garage for a little power-training, got the exhausmanifold and de-cat muffler fitted.
Here the new "fake" catalisc convertor:

And here the manifold under the hood:

Really improves the gasrespons, and the increase in acceleration above the 3000rpm is "pretty damn nice"
, while after 4500rpm all hell breaks lose
Just one minor point on the mk4, I just busted the clutch-cable on my way home, so gonna have to put in another one coming week, till then I'll have to use the mk2 a bit more often as a daily

Very nice dub my friend! love what you're doing with it! When you get some white dials could u post some pics and let me know where u got them as you seem to have the same dial arrangement as me, ie 0-7000rpm gauge and 140mph speedo. I cant find a decent set of white dials with the correct layout and gauges anywhere!
Cheers!

thanks for the help, I think I'm gonna order the S4-look (DSP) bumper this week. And eventhough I first wanted the shadowgrey paintjob, I'm totally thrilled by the delhired 2dragon_green wrote:Hi Jarno,
I think it would have to be the DSP for me. I think it looks superb. Dark metallic red would look great if you're going for a refined look. cream / tan leather interior with it maybe?
Leather is and stays black, just love those dark interiors!

Hopefully I'll get around to give my bodywork guy a phonecall and get me some prices for the job, won't be cheap, but hopefully he'll give e a break, since it aint the first job he's gettin' from me
Damn your engine bay is sexy lol.
That manifold... is that little bit coming off the side for a turbo??
i wouldnt know im not up and coming on boosty type things.
If soo... is there a turbo in the works???
Saying that. If turbos re-circulate exhaust fumes anyway, could you by all means just stick your cold air feed on there, the one that used to attach to the heat shield on the manifold? Would that have any positive affect.
Also is that the manifold available on ebay? looks like it but the angle being different im just curious.
Either way, just to add: very very nice car dude.

thnx, manifold is on Ebay, it's a Raceland one. And that little pointy thingy isn';t for a turbo, that's for the original airfilter, which has a extra tube fitted to the manifold, to suck in warm air during winter, to make sure the air/fuel mixture doesn't freeze (but since we aint livin' in Scandinavia, it's pointlessLeMeph wrote:Damn your engine bay is sexy lol.

Thought of getting it off, but feared to create a hole in the manifold, so i just let it sit there
And turbo's don't re-ciculate exhaust fumes, a turbo is driven by the exhaust gasses, which it then uses this energy (in the form of rotating) to comprise air it sucks in, this compressed (fresh) air (not from the exhaust) is then "pushed" in the cilinders, in stead of sucked as in a non-turbo engine
