I'm very pleased with it so far, it goes like stink when you are in the mood for a blast on a clear road, but it's also quiet and refined when just cruising along with the traffic. It is deceptively fast though, it gets up to 70 without much effort at all, or even feeling like you're going that fast, so I have to keep a closer eye the speedo than I'm used to.
As for the fuel consumption, I'm averaging low 30's overall, so not bad all all. I've read that Shell Optimax is the best fuel to use with the FSI engine? The only problem is, the nearest Shell garage is about 10 miles away, in the opposite direction to the way I normally travel for work, etc. I might give BP Ultimate a go, as that would be much more convenient, or maybe mix the two alternately.
